Monroe Free Library's Trustees host a celebration and tribute afternoon from 1 to 4 pm June 12 at the library, 44 Millpond Parkway, Monroe. Open to the public, the event features a tribute to honor the library's recently retired Executive Director Marilyn McIntosh, and celebrates the appointment of her successor, Amanda Primiano. The afternoon also includes a ribbon cutting for the backyard deck, refreshments from JavaJo's Cafe, and music by jazz pianist Colin McHugh, vocalist Virginia Lopez, and The Mimicking Mars Band.
